Rebirth: I Became a Maggot 2

Chapter 175 Golden Python

Chapter 175 Golden Python

I finally found the pin, and I managed to get the mouse out as planned. But to my surprise, I pricked it in the wrong place, which paralyzed the mouse. @

I was still thinking about using that lab rat to save Dafu, but now it's just lying on the ground, not moving at all. What does this mean? Isn't this just messing with me?

I never imagined that the little white mouse I rescued after going through so much trouble would lose its ability to move just because I accidentally poked its anus.

What can we do now? Are we just supposed to wait for the mouse to recover its strength? I can wait a while, but what if the staff conducting the experiment come back?

Just as I was feeling very frustrated watching the little white mouse collapse on the ground, not knowing what to do, I suddenly heard a hissing sound coming from the gap under the cabinet.

Instantly, I sensed the danger approaching, and the little white mouse immediately stood up and looked towards the dark place. It seemed that the little white mouse also sensed the danger coming from under the cabinet.

Sure enough, just as I was staring in terror at the dark cabinet, a golden python slowly slithered out.

That python was at least as thick as an arm, and it could easily swallow the white mouse whole with just one open mouth. How did this golden python end up here?

What the hell is going on? The little white mouse I finally managed to rescue has become that snake's lunch? All my hard work just resulted in some food for it?

I was wondering why I had that chilly feeling earlier, and why I felt like I was being watched by something. Turns out, it was a huge golden python watching us.

Clearly, the white mouse was also frightened by the sudden appearance of the golden python. It stared blankly at the golden python in front of it, and even forgot to run away.

But that wasn't what surprised me. What really surprised me was that the little white mouse slowly crawled towards the golden python.

Holy crap, what do you mean by suicide? This is it! Now that we've encountered a golden python, instead of running away, you're crawling towards it.

I can understand if you say you don't want to climb, and I can also understand if you say you can't run away. But what kind of behavior is it to go up and die even if you can't run away?

This is beyond my common sense! This is simply a fact I cannot accept.

I rushed towards them, even though I knew it wouldn't make much of a difference, but I couldn't bear to watch the little white mouse get eaten by the golden python.

So I rushed over to the white mouse, thinking I should warn it not to do something reckless, because if it got eaten, it would be too late to regret it.

But before I could fly over or even say anything, what happened next surprised me so much that my jaw almost dropped.

The little white mouse jumped up, and then the snake caught it with its head...

Surprisingly, the little white mouse started playing with the golden python, like old friends who hadn't seen each other in a long time, full of bromance.

"Hey, it looks like your friend is saved now," the white mouse said cheerfully to me.

Three beads of cold sweat slowly slid down my face. What on earth is going on? A white mouse and a snake are best friends?

Although I often see on TV that a pet cat and a mouse are good friends, and there are also cats and dogs who are good friends, the cat often bullies the dog.

But this is the first time I've ever met a snake and a mouse who are best friends. And their relationship is more than just that of ordinary friends.

"Oh, this little guy is your friend?" the golden python asked with great disdain, but the voice was that of a mature woman, full of coldness and ruthlessness.

"Haha, don't mind it. My friend is a cold-blooded animal, so he's cold to everyone." Seeing that the golden python was very indifferent to me, the white mouse immediately explained.

"So now you can save my friend, right?" I don't care if you're cold or not, saving Dafu is the priority. Whether you're cold-blooded or not doesn't seem to concern me, does it?

"It wouldn't have worked before, but with her help now, it'll definitely be fine," Xiaobai said, glancing happily at the golden python.

"Then hurry up and save my friend!" I shouted urgently. If we don't get Dafu out of that test tube soon, I'm worried he might suffocate.

But the golden python said dismissively, "Why should I save her?"

"Because I saved the white mouse," I explained immediately.

"Actually, I could have saved them too, it's just that you saved them before me," the golden python said, clearly annoyed.

"Then why couldn't you be saved?" I shouted, equally annoyed.

"I fell asleep because it was too cold," the golden python said somewhat embarrassedly.

"Asleep?" I exclaimed in surprise.

"Don't you know snakes hibernate? Sleeping is normal, isn't it?" the golden python said, clearly annoyed.

Was this snake sleeping with the air conditioning on before? It only woke up after the doctor turned off the air conditioning after bringing us here, right? That's too much of a coincidence!

I said, still feeling frustrated, "Whether you're sleeping or not, just tell me now, are you going to help me save Dafu or not?"

"I won't help," the golden python said, clearly annoyed.

Holy crap, is this girl on her period? I feel like I owe her something, like a lot of money.

If you're not going to help, then don't. Why are you so smug? If you're not going to help, then I won't beg you anymore.

“Anyway, you promised to help my friend, so come on over,” I said to the white mouse.

"This..." The little white mouse was clearly stunned. It didn't expect that I, who was having a good talk with the giant python, would suddenly come to him.

"Alright, I promise I'll help you. I'll go now." The little mouse said and jumped off the snake's head.

"Don't go!" the snake coldly shouted, blocking the little white mouse from walking towards me.

The sound was unusually loud, as if it had encountered some great danger, and it stared at me with hostility, leaving me completely bewildered.

"Mengmeng, what's wrong?" the white mouse asked, puzzled.

I just can't believe that such a ferocious golden python would be called Mengmeng, such a bizarre name. Where is the cuteness in this snake?

“Little White, listen to me, that fly can’t be saved. I sense a hint of danger from them. I can’t quite put my finger on it yet, but I feel they’re in danger,” said the golden python named Mengmeng.

Damn, how am I in danger? I'm just a fly, how could I possibly pose a danger to a giant python like you? Besides, we're sending that little white mouse to rescue you, not you!
