Chapter 53, Part 1
Chapter 53, Part 1
The first battle was against the Mountain Lord's tribe of the Demon Kingdom.
The Mountain Lord Tribe was the first line of defense set up by the Demon Kingdom on the border, stationed with three demon generals and tens of thousands of demon beasts. When the Great Xia army arrived, the demon generals of the Mountain Lord Tribe did not even have time to organize a defense. A sword light flew out from the Great Xia army formation and cut off the heads of the three demon generals at the same time. The army of 100,000 poured into the territory of the Mountain Lord Tribe and slaughtered tens of thousands of demon beasts.
The second battle resulted in the annihilation of the Tianlang tribe.
The Demon Commander of the Sirius Tribe is an old wolf who has lived for over a hundred years. He is at the peak of the Grandmaster level, just one step away from becoming a Great Grandmaster.
However, in front of the Great Xia soldiers, the Tianlang tribe's defense line was as fragile as paper and collapsed instantly. The old wolf demon commander was cut in two by Shen Han's sword.
The third battle was the slaughter of the Xuan Snake tribe.
The demon commander of the Xuan Snake Tribe is a giant python that dwells in the swamp and is skilled in using poisonous fog and sneak attacks.
The Great Xia army did not enter the swamp, but instead set the mountain on fire. The fire burned for three days and three nights, turning the entire swamp into scorched earth. When the demon commander of the Xuan Snake tribe rushed out of the sea of fire, he was greeted by two Grandmasters.
Three battles, three victories, and the three major demon tribes were completely eradicated.
The Great Xia army advanced deep into the land, eliminating the strongholds of the Demon Kingdom one by one and slaughtering all the demon beasts along the way. When the news reached the heart of the Demon Kingdom, the entire kingdom was shaken.
The emperors of both the Great Yu and Great Xia dynasties also received the news, and both emperors remained silent.
They couldn't understand when the Great Xia had become so strong.
In reality, with the twelve Grandmasters of the Great Xia army taking action this time, ordinary soldiers had no chance to fight back. They only needed to block the demon race's retreat and watch as the twelve Grandmasters slaughtered the demon race. It wasn't that the Great Xia army was strong, but rather that the twelve Grandmasters were strong.
The 100,000-strong army continued its advance. A hundred miles ahead lay the heart of the Demon Kingdom, the Heavenly Demon City, where the throne of the Demon Kingdom's ruler was located.
Yun Weiyang sat in the central command tent, with a map of the Canghuang Realm spread out in front of her. Her finger moved slowly across the map, from Tianyao City all the way to the deepest part of the Demon Kingdom.
"continue."
Outside the tent, the camps of 100,000 troops stretched for miles, with campfires like stars. In the distance, the outline of Tianyao City was faintly visible in the night, like a giant beast lying on the earth.
Yun Weiyang stood outside the central command tent, gazing at the distant outline of the Heavenly Demon City.
"Your Majesty," Shen Han walked behind him and knelt on one knee, "Scouts report that three Grandmasters, over a hundred Demon Commanders and above, and countless Demon Soldiers have gathered in Tianyao City."
Yun Weiyang did not turn around.
"Three Grandmasters?" He smiled. "That's all?"
"The city is filled with demonic energy; there might be more lurking nearby." Shen Han paused. "Your Majesty, should we adjust our attack strategy?"
"No need." Yun Weiyang turned around and looked at Shen Han: "Tomorrow you will lead nine people to the front. They have three Grandmasters, while you have twelve."
Shen Han lowered his head: "Your subjects will certainly not fail in your mission."
The next morning, the army broke camp and headed towards Tianyao City.
Twelve grandmasters led the way, followed by an army of 100,000. Banners blotted out the sun, and the killing intent soared to the heavens. The gates of Tianyao City were tightly closed, and the city walls were densely packed with demonic beasts, their demonic energy so thick that it was almost tangible.
There were no shouts or attempts to persuade them to surrender.
Shen Han drew his sword.
The sword light descended like a waterfall, crashing down from the sky like a cascading silver river onto the city gate.
The city gate, forged from black iron, deformed and shattered amidst the flashing sword light, sending fragments flying and felling a number of the monsters on the city wall.
Twelve grandmasters attacked simultaneously.
The force of fists, the light of swords, the wind of palms, and the light of blades—twelve martial arts essences erupted simultaneously, like twelve meteors crashing into the demon horde.
The monsters screamed in agony, their flesh and blood flying everywhere, and twelve gaps were instantly torn open in the city wall.
Three powerful auras rose from the depths of the Heavenly Demon City.
The three grandmasters from the demon kingdom finally made their move.
A giant tiger, its body as black as a mountain, slammed down with its claws, shattering the fist of a grandmaster; a three-headed python spewed poisonous mist from all three heads, turning half the city wall a ghastly green; a golden-winged roc spread its wings, obscuring the sun, its sharp claws like hooks, tearing through the air as it went straight for Shen Han.
Twelve grandmasters went to greet them.
The battle became intense from the very beginning.
Each time the giant tiger's claws struck, they left a crater over ten feet deep in the ground; the three-headed python's poisonous mist corroded everything, even melting holes in the bluestone ground; the golden-winged roc was incredibly fast, appearing a hundred feet away with a single flap of its wings, its sharp claws tearing everything apart.
However, the twelve grandmasters cooperated even more seamlessly.
Shen Han's sword light rained down, tearing open the wings of the Golden-Winged Roc; another Grandmaster's fist was as powerful as a mountain, forcing the giant tiger to retreat repeatedly; and yet another Grandmaster's palms were like knives, severing one of the three-headed python's heads.
The battle lasted for half an hour.
The giant tiger was killed by the combined efforts of two grandmasters. Its corpse crashed to the ground, collapsing half of the city wall.
The three-headed serpent had its three heads severed, and its body rolled on the ground, crushing a large section of the city wall.
Seeing that the situation was not good, the Golden-Winged Roc tried to escape, but Shen Han pierced its heart with a sword and fell from the sky.
All three Grandmasters of the Demon Kingdom were executed.
However, Yun Weiyang also paid a price. Two Grandmasters died in the battle; one had his head smashed by the giant tiger, and the other was torn in two by the claws of the Golden-Winged Roc.
Yun Weiyang stood at a distance, watching all of this with an expressionless face.
"Clean up the battlefield, and tomorrow, march on Dayu."
The emperors of Dayu and Dayan were still asleep when they received news of the destruction of Tianyao City.
They didn't even have time to react.
Yun Weiyang did not mobilize a large army. He only took the remaining ten Grandmasters, each with a fast horse, and traveled day and night to the capitals of the two countries.
The capital of the Great Yu was called Yu Jing. The city walls were about ten zhang high and the garrison numbered 30,000. When the ten Grandmasters arrived, the city gates were still open. No one expected that the Great Xia would attack so quickly.
Shen Han cleaved the city gate in two with a single sword strike.
The ten men stormed into the city as if it were empty. The palace guards were like paper in front of the Grandmaster, one by one with a sword and one by one with a palm. The Emperor of Dayu was captured alive in his palace, and Shen Han beheaded him with a single sword stroke.
From entering the city to slaughtering the entire royal family, it took less than an hour.
The situation in the Great Yan was exactly the same. When the ten Grandmasters stormed into the palace, the Emperor of Great Yan was holding the morning court session. The civil and military officials in the court looked at the ten figures that had descended from the sky and their faces turned ashen.
No nonsense, no attempts to persuade them to surrender.
Shen Han Yi Jian.
The entire royal family of the Great Yan Dynasty was wiped out.
From the time the Great Xia army was dispatched to the fall of the two great dynasties, only ten days had passed.
The news spread throughout the Canghuang Realm, shaking the world. The once invincible sects, aristocratic families, and martial arts heroes were now silent as cicadas in fear, and all sent envoys to pay tribute and express their submission.
Yun Weiyang ignored all of this and issued an imperial decree in the Great Xia palace to search for an old Taoist priest with white hair.
The old Taoist priest was thin, with white hair and a youthful face. He liked to wear a gray-white Taoist robe, held a whisk in his hand, and his whereabouts were unpredictable.
The entire nation mobilized to search mountains and seas.
