Chapter 100 Sweet
Chapter 100 Sweet
"Time to get up and have dinner," Ji Yan said in a slightly lazy voice.
Ji Yan then got up, leaving Ning Yi lying on the bed, still somewhat dazed.
After a while, Ning Yi went out, and Ji Yan had already tidied up.
"It'll be windy outside tonight, so go wear a light jacket," Ji Yan thoughtfully suggested.
Ning Yi stared at Ji Yan, seeing that he acted as if nothing had happened, and couldn't help but purse her lips. Then she went to wash her face and tidy herself up a bit.
Ning Yi wore a shirt jacket over her clothes, and then went out with Ji Yan.
They walked hand in hand along the street, and Ningyi noticed that there were many foreigners there.
“There are so many foreigners here,” Ning Yi couldn’t help but say.
Ji Yan replied, "This place is very close to Country H, so foreigners often come here to visit."
Ning Yi nodded: "I see."
There's a small restaurant here; the atmosphere looks pretty good, and the decorations are quite exquisite.
After they went inside, they discovered it was a restaurant serving some of the specialties of Country H.
Ji Yan ordered a few recommended dishes and some other things, and then asked for two glasses of orange juice.
"After we finish eating, shall we go for a stroll on the beach?" Ji Yan looked up at Ning Yi and said.
Ning Yi nodded: "Okay."
After a while, all the dishes were served.
"This is my first time eating this, and it looks quite appetizing," Ning Yi said, staring at the dishes on the table.
Ji Yan put some food into Ning Yi's bowl and said, "Then try it quickly and see how it tastes."
Ning Yi lowered her head and took a bite. Her expression froze, and then her entire face almost scrunched up.
Seeing her expression, Ji Yan couldn't help but frown: "What's wrong? Is it hard to eat?"
"Spit it out quickly," Ji Yan said, then took a piece of paper to catch the food Ning Yi was about to vomit.
After pausing for a moment, Ning Yi reached out and took the paper from Ji Yan's hand, spat it onto the paper, then wrapped it up and threw it into the trash can.
She quickly grabbed the orange juice from the side and gulped down several mouthfuls.
Ning Yi swallowed hard, then waved her hand and said, "I really can't eat this; it has a weird taste."
"Okay, okay, if you don't want to eat, try something else," Ji Yan said.
After saying that, Ji Yan poured the remaining food from Ning Yi's bowl onto a plate.
"Why don't you try it? Maybe you can handle it," Ning Yi said, looking at Ji Yan with some anticipation.
Ji Yan looked at the dish and then at her.
"Give it a try," Ning Yi urged.
Ji Yan slowly picked up his chopsticks, took a small amount, put it in his mouth, chewed it, and swallowed it.
Ning Yi was surprised to see that he actually ate it, and asked, "Don't you think it tastes bad? You can really eat it?"
Ji Yan couldn't help but take a sip of the orange juice next to him, then shook his head: "The taste really isn't very good."
Doesn't this look a bit off? She didn't even see Ji Yan frown.
By the time they finished eating, it was already 7:30 p.m.
A cool breeze has started to blow outside.
They walked towards the sea and entered the beach, where many children were playing and many adults were lying on lounge chairs.
There are quite a few vendors along the beach, many of them selling coconuts.
"Would you like some coconut juice?" Ji Yan asked.
Ning Yi rubbed her stomach and said, "Let's drink later, I'm too full right now."
Then they held hands and continued walking towards the sea.
"Do you remember the sea we went to see together during New Year's Eve?" Ning Yi asked.
Ji Yan tilted his head to look at her, then seemed to recall something, a slight smile playing on his lips: "I remember, that was the day we first got together."
Ning Yi smiled with a hint of happiness: "Yes, this is the second time I've seen the sea."
Ji Yan tightened his grip on Ning Yi's hand, then looked at her: "There will be many more opportunities to see the sea together in the future."
Ning Yi leaned gently on Ji Yan's shoulder, her gaze fixed on the seaside.
Ji Yan lowered his head slightly and kissed Ning Yi's head.
They found a chair and sat for a while. Ningyi said she wanted some coconut juice, and Jiyan said he would go buy some.
Ji Yan got up and went to a small stall not far away to buy coconuts.
The female boss greeted him warmly and then asked him to wait a moment.
These coconuts were all freshly shaved. When the female boss finished packing the coconuts and was about to hand them to Ji Yan, her gaze lingered on his face, and she paused slightly.
Seeing Ji Yan's puzzled expression, the female shop owner quickly handed him the coconut, saying, "Sorry, I just suddenly thought you looked a little familiar, hahaha."
Upon hearing this, Ji Yan lowered his head slightly and was about to turn around and leave with the coconut when the female boss suddenly called out to him.
"Are you... are you Ji Yan?" the female boss asked excitedly.
The female boss then realized what was happening, quickly covered her mouth, and looked around.
Ji Yan paused, then made a "shh" gesture at her.
The female boss covered her mouth, then nodded to him and whispered, "I know, I know, I won't tell anyone."
Ji Yan smiled slightly at her: "Thank you."
"Could you please sign your name for me?" the female shop owner asked expectantly.
Ji Yan nodded: "Okay, but I hope you won't tell anyone about what you saw of me today, okay?"
The female boss looked into Ji Yan's eyes, couldn't help but clutch the hem of her clothes a few times, and said excitedly, "I will. I know it's not easy being a public figure. I won't say a word about what I saw today."
"Thank you," Ji Yan said gently.
Then, the female boss handed over a notebook and pen, which Ji Yan took, signed, and then returned to the female boss.
"Have a great time, thank you so much," the female shop owner said with a smile after taking the notebook and pen, glancing at the signature on the notebook.
Then Ji Yan carried the packed coconuts and walked towards Ning Yi's direction.
Ning Yi was sitting in a chair taking pictures with her phone when she saw Ji Yan arrive. She said, "You're here. Why were you a little late?"
"I just met a fan and got an autograph for them," Ji Yan said, sitting down next to Ning Yi and handing her the coconut.
Ning Yi was taken aback upon hearing this: "Won't that be a problem? Won't they say something they shouldn't? Won't we get attacked later?"
Ji Yan almost laughed as she listened: "It's okay, it won't happen."
Ning Yi took the drink and drank a couple of sips, then glanced to the side with concern.
Seeing Ning Yi's furtive behavior, Ji Yan couldn't help but reach out and pinch her cheek: "You're acting like a thief. Don't worry, even if she spreads rumors online, I'll handle it. If she finds out, it's not bad to just announce it ahead of time."
Ning Yi snorted and then said, "Shouldn't we try to keep a lower profile?"
Ning Yi brought the coconut to Ji Yan and handed him the straw. Ji Yan lowered his head, took two sips, and said, "We've been low-key enough, haven't we?"
Ning Yi pursed her lips and took another sip. At that moment, Ji Yan suddenly took her mouth in his mouth and used his tongue to roll the coconut juice that Ning Yi had just drunk into his own mouth.
"What...what are you doing?" Ning Yi was immediately enraged.
Ji Yan smiled: "Sweet"
