Chapter 59: The Plan is About to Be Completed
Chapter 59: The Plan is About to Be Completed
After leaving Krada, Maria Elisa felt that the plan to kill Macachi needed to be accelerated.
Actually, the time was almost right, but she wanted to wait until she had more help before making things clear to Macachi.
However, Maria and Elisa are too lazy to wait any longer. Anyway, her laser gun is fully charged. Even if she can't kill Makachi with one shot, she can still turn him into a "girl" like Alaria.
As usual, Pollalid served customers and waited for them to leave. Then he stood by the window and gazed at the distant scenery. Maria Elisa used to come here to eat at this time, and he had developed the habit of checking to see if Maria Elisa had arrived.
Pollalid was surprised to find that the view from this window was quite nice.
But Maria Elisa said she was going to visit Cladda in the next few days.
They're probably still on their way back. Pollalid sighed at this thought.
"Borde, are you still waiting for Maria Elisa?" Macachi appeared behind him at some point, his eyes also looking out the window, his heart filled with a mixture of jealousy and annoyance.
"No, I'm just looking at the scenery." Pollalid didn't expect Maria Elisa to come back today; he was just used to standing outside the window and gazing into the distance.
“Polalide, do you know?” Makachi suddenly spoke up. Since Maria Alyssa had been away for the past few days, this was a good opportunity for him to confess his feelings to Pollalide. He didn’t believe that Maria Alyssa would suddenly rush between him and Pollalide and disrupt his confession.
When Pollard heard Makachi's question, he turned his head in confusion and finally met Makachi's affectionate eyes.
At this moment, as the sun sets, the light of the illuminating star shines like glowing honey, clinging to everything it can reach, creating an ambiguous atmosphere between Makachi and Pollalid.
“You know what? From the moment I woke up and saw you, I knew I was in love.” Makachi tried to make his voice sound mature and reliable. “You saved my life, and your father agreed to let me stay here temporarily. My gratitude to you both is beyond words. So I thought…”
Makachi didn't continue; he waited for Pollalid's response.
Everything was perfect. Makachi thought she looked pretty good, the environment was perfect, and the annoying person who could change things wasn't around—could she suddenly jump out of the window?
Maria Elisa really is something.
Just as Pollalid was pondering how to reject the man's confession, the two heard a lively and cheerful female voice from afar: "I'm—back—!"
Along with the sound, a huge white object flew in through the window and knocked Macachi to the ground.
Pollalid was startled, and it took him a second or two to realize that what had flown in through the window wasn't something, but a person.
Maria Elisa, wearing a white hoodie, jumped directly into the Pollalid family's store through the window.
"I'm back!" Maria Elisa, having regained her footing, raised her arms and gave Pollard a hug. "How have you been, Pollard? Have you missed me?"
"Mmm, Lisa, you, you go first..." Pollard was so overwhelmed by the sudden surprise when Maria Lisa hugged him like that that he was dizzy.
Although Pollalid still wanted to hug Maria Elisa a little longer, Makachi, who had been knocked to the ground by Maria Elisa, was still lying on the ground.
By this time, Makachi had gotten up from the ground. He looked at the two people embracing each other, his eyes blazing with anger.
"Ah, you're actually back?" Makachi was displeased, but with Polalid present, he didn't want to ruin the image he had built up in front of Polalid over the past month.
“Yes, I’m back—what were you doing just now?” Maria Elisa asked.
"No, nothing." Pollalid didn't mention Makachi's confession to him earlier; he tried to use the incident caused by Maria Elisa to gloss over the matter.
"So you're all settled now?" Maria Elisa asked with a smile, but Macaqi could see a hint of malice in her expression.
“It’s alright, is there anything you wanted to say, Lisa?” Pollalid asked.
“I’ve been investigating Makach’s background these past few days and discovered that he’s a member of the Polande family.” Maria Elisa finally said what Makach least wanted to hear.
Ignoring the barely perceptible threat in Makachi's eyes, Maria Elisa continued, "I've already contacted the Polande family through Anx, and they said they'll be bringing Makachi back soon."
"Oh! Is that so? That's wonderful." Pollard was quite happy, firstly because Macaqi had found a home, and secondly because she no longer had to deal with the relationship between Macaqi and herself—the Pollard family was, after all, a large family! There must be many people more outstanding than herself, right? Macaqi would soon forget about her and find a new love.
What about Mariahisa? Pollard suddenly remembered that Mariahisa was also from a large family. Although Mariahisa was an adopted daughter, she was still not in the same social class as him.
"Liasa will forget me soon," Pollard thought, his earlier joy waning considerably.
Maria Elisa noticed that Pollard's expression changed from somewhat happy to somewhat sad, but she didn't understand why or how to comfort him, so she simply pretended not to see it and let Pollard sort it out himself.
Maria Elisa turned her head and glanced at Macachi, who had been standing to the side. His face was now as black as the bottom of a pot.
An awkward silence fell between the three. Just then, Pallas shouted, "Where are they? Boled, you little brat, get over here!"
Upon hearing this, Pollalid temporarily put aside his sadness and hurriedly went to help Pallas.
Seeing that Pollard had left, but Makachi in front of him still hadn't said a word, and was just looking at him with a murderous expression.
Just as Maria Elisa was wondering when this kid had become so calm, she heard Macachi say, "Maria Elisa, come here, I have something to tell you."
"Ah, they took the bait! I thought I'd wasted my time." Maria Elisa breathed a sigh of relief, then pretended not to understand anything and followed Macachi to a secluded spot.
After confirming that there were no surveillance cameras and no one would be passing by, Makachi stopped, turned around to face Maria Elisa, leaned forward, and reached out to touch Maria Elisa's neck.
Maria Elisa had already guessed that Macaqi was going to play dirty tricks, so she dodged to the side and gave Macaqi a sweeping kick.
Macaqi couldn't dodge and tripped. Before Macaqi could stand up, Maria Elisa quickly stepped back, creating a safe distance between herself and Macaqi.
"Hey buddy, let's calm down. What are you trying to do? Are you going to spar with me?" Maria Elisa pretended not to realize the seriousness of the situation and laughed it off with Macachi.
"Are you still playing dumb?" Makachi, who had just gotten up from the ground, hadn't even stood up straight yet, but the words were already out. "You told the Polande family about me. You should know what that means to me."
"Ah! Well, I don't know what it means." Maria Elisa actually knew, but she just wanted to annoy Macachi and make this extremely easy-to-break guy slip up.
"You still dare to say you don't know?!" Just as Maria Elisa wished, Makachi has now become a huge sensation.
Makaqi grabbed a rock and threw it at Maria Elisa: "You recognized me a long time ago! You threw that little metal box at me a long time ago! Did you think I wouldn't look at it? Let me tell you, I did! Although I don't know where you got it from, you've completely enraged me!"
"You must die today!!"
Maria Elisa, listening to Macaqi's ridiculously childish remarks, dodged the small stone, picked up a stone that was a size larger than the one Macaqi threw, and then threw it hard at Macaqi's stomach.
“I must die today!” Maria Elisa repeated Makachi’s words in a drawn-out voice as she watched him squat down, clutching his stomach. Then she laughed at herself.
“You’re really something,” Maria Elisa said with a laugh. “I can tell you’re very proud of being an A. But look at you, you still got beaten up like this. I don’t even want to talk about it.”
“I went easy on you during our sparring session. It was really funny to see you trying your best to beat me, but you still couldn’t even beat one of my fingers.” Maria Elisa kept provoking Macachi with her words, while calculating the time in her mind—when she tripped Macachi and made him fall face down, she had already sent a message to Polalid for help, and judging by Polalid’s speed, he would arrive in a little while.
Hearing Maria Elisa's mocking words, Makachi became completely enraged. He scrambled to his feet at lightning speed and charged towards Maria Elisa.
Maria Elisa pretended to be unable to dodge and was grabbed by the throat by Makachi.
Makachi gave a sickly smile as he looked at Maria Elisa's face, hoping to see a look of panic on her face.
But no, Maria Elisa just smiled, with a hint of sarcasm in her expression.
Makachi was furious. He couldn't understand why this woman could remain so calm even when she was about to die.
Just as Makachi decided to use a little more force to strangle Maria Elisa to death, someone rushed over and bit his wrist hard.
Makachi was startled by this turn of events and let go in pain. Just as he was about to get angry, he realized that the person who bit his wrist was Pollalid.
